Matthew Broderick and David Cross will star in Lucas Hnath’s new model of Molière’s Tartuffe in an Off Broadway manufacturing opening in late fall.
The New York Theatre Workshop manufacturing can even function Obie Award winner Emily Davis (Is This A Room) as Mariane, RuPaul’s Drag Race winner Bianca del Rio as Mme Pernelle, Tony Award nominee Amber Grey (Hadestown) as Elmire, Obie Award winner Ryan Haddad (Darkish Disabled Tales) as Damis, Tony Award winner Francis Jue (Yellow Face) as Cleante, Tony Award winner Lisa Kron (Enjoyable Dwelling) as Dorine, and Emmy Award nominee Ike Ufomadu (Ziwe) as Valére.
The manufacturing will probably be directed by Sarah Benson (Enamel).
Hnath’s credit embrace A Doll’s Home, Half 2, Hillary and Clinton and Dana H., which advised a harrowing true story in regards to the playwright’s mom.
