Near 65 years since he rose to fame because the drummer for English rock icons The Beatles, Pete Greatest has introduced his retirement.
83-year-old Greatest’s retirement was introduced on X (previously Twitter), along with his brother Roag confirming that the drummer will not be performing as a part of the eponymous Pete Greatest Band going ahead.
“Properly what a completely fantastic trip we’ve had. Nonetheless, all the pieces involves go,” Roag famous. “My brother Pete Greatest has introduced in the present day he’s retiring from private appearances and performing with the group. His daughter has knowledgeable me it’s on account of private circumstances.”
Pete himself acknowledged his retirement, reposting the unique announcement and including, “I had a blast. Thanks.”
Greatest’s affiliation with The Beatles started within the late ’50s when the Quarrymen – which comprised John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ken Brown – approached his mom Mona to carry out at her Liverpool venue, the Casbah Espresso Membership.
