Joey Bada$$ seemingly taking a shot on the West Coast on his new observe sparks a diss tune from High Dawg Leisure rapper Ray Vaughn.

Badmon Joey kicked off the 12 months by releasing the brand new single “The Ruler’s Again” on Jan. 1. On the tune, the Brooklyn rapper drops a line that seems to reference the reverence the hip-hop scene on the West Coast has been getting over the previous a number of months.

“Please don’t get confused with shootin’ the films, we actually shootin’/Was on Soul album, so in case you ask me, you appear like a goofy,” he provides, referencing Joey’s visitor spot on Ab-Soul’s 2022 Herbert LP.
In selling the tune on X, Ray made positive to attempt to get Joey’s consideration. “2025 no sneak dissing solely crash outs,” he captioned a clip of the video whereas mentioning Joey within the put up.
On Thursday (Jan. 9), Ray continued to taunt Joey with the tweet: “Y’all chill he prolly shootin POWER or sum he ain’t see his telephone give him a while.”

Whereas some followers believed Joey was taking photographs at Kendrick Lamar with the bar on “The Ruler’s Again,” Joey has praised Ok-Dot prior to now.
