What’s Black Doves about?
The six-episode collection takes place in London at Christmas and follows skilled spy Helen Webb (Keira Knightley) and murderer Sam (Ben Whishaw) as they examine who killed Helen’s secret lover.
Some background: For 10 years, Helen has been passing on her politician husband’s secrets and techniques to the mysterious group she works for: the Black Doves. After her lover is assassinated, her boss calls in Helen’s previous good friend Sam to maintain her secure. Their investigation leads them to “uncover an unlimited, interconnected conspiracy linking the murky London underworld to a looming geopolitical disaster.”
