With Kendrick Lamar, it at all times appears to be deeper than rap. His new GNX album is not any completely different. The newest LP from the Compton, Calif. rapper, in addition to the video for the only “Squabble Up,” are crammed with well-placed Easter Eggs.
Easter Eggs in Kendrick Lamar’s New GNX Album
The album title itself, GNX, is a reference to a Buick Grand Nationwide, which has similarities to the mannequin of the automotive the rapper’s father drove him house from the hospital in after Dot was born. It holds a particular place in Kendrick’s coronary heart. Again in March, Dot shared a cryptic put up on his Finsta account that reveals him being delivered the automotive that seems on the duvet artwork of the album.

On Monday (Nov. 25), Cryptic Kenny launched the video for the album’s lead single “Squabble Up.” The colourful Calmatic-directed visible contains hidden references to rappers like Ice-T, The Roots, Nate Dogg, traditional movies and extra.
Kendrick is not any stranger to visible Easter eggs having included a number of throughout his beef with Drake, most notably within the “Not Like Us” music video.
