DSTLRY has introduced Endeavour, a brand new survival collection by author Stephanie Phillips and artist Marc Laming. Debuting in February, the guide is pitched as a cross between Lord of the Flies and Yellowjackets, which tells the story of a number of kids who grow to be stranded on a recreation of an 18th-century ship.
Set aboard a historic recreation of an 18th-century schooner, ENDEAVOUR witnesses a gaggle of youngsters from elite households invited on a luxurious leisure cruise with fashionable facilities. When sudden chaos erupts, seven kids are left stranded on the ship and adrift at sea. As provides dwindle and the youngsters battle the weather, a cutthroat wrestle for survival emerges as factions (and double crosses) develop.
Phillips states, “Endeavour merges the suspense of survivalist classics with a meditation on fashionable social and cultural norms. Marc and I’ve actually loved constructing this world filled with harmful alliances and suspense.”
Laming provides, “The unique HMS Endeavour voyage in 1768 didn’t finish nicely, and this one’s consequence doesn’t look far more optimistic! I used to be on pins and needles ready for Stephanie’s subsequent script, and bringing this imaginative and prescient to life was equally aggravating and gratifying. Endeavour is an excellent taught thriller and by equal measure a horrific story that has been a pleasure to attract.”
The comedian marks Laming’s first at DSTLRY, and Phillips’s second on the writer, after Life, the sci-fi motion collection created with Brian Azzarello and Lee Loughridge (the third difficulty of which might be launched on November 13.) The pair beforehand collaborated on the 2021 Useless Good Comics particular Octobriana With Love: fiftieth Anniversary Version.
Endeavour #1 by DSTLRY might be launched in comedian guide shops and DSTLRY’s on-line market on February 5.
