Moroccan soccer player’s wife went after half of his fortune and Walked Away with nothing.
Achraf Hakimi is considered one of Africa’s most expensive players and among the best right-backs in the world, according to Morocco World News.
Hakimi’s former wife, Hiba Abouk, is a Spanish-Tunisian actress. The couple met in 2018 when Hakimi was 19 and Abouk was 31, married in 2020, and have two children, Amin and Naim.

After Abouk filed for divorce, the court reportedly found that all of Hakimi’s assets, including his cars, houses, jewelry, and even clothes, were not registered in his name, but in his mom’s name.
Additionally, the court ordered Hiba Abouk to give half of her estimated $3 million net worth to Hakimi, according to a report by Wealth. This case has sparked mixed reactions; some praised Hakimi for his cleverness, while others labeled him a coward.
The divorce filing followed accusations that Hakimi had sexually abused a young girl in Paris, though some sources claim the divorce was initiated before these allegations surfaced. It was reported that Abouk plans to sue her ex-husband for fraud and mismanagement of their marital assets.

Regarding the claims that Hakimi’s assets were under her name, his mother, Saida Mouh, denied knowing anything about such actions. She stated,
“If he has taken any action to protect himself, I’m unaware of it. What’s the problem if the news is true? If my son does not do this, he will not be able to get rid of that woman”

However, there have been reports suggesting that the news about Hakimi transferring his assets to his mother was fake. French journalist and sports reporter Gilles Verdez commented,
“That wouldn’t be possible, not in Morocco, not in Spain, not in France.”
Other reports also claim that the story is baseless and highlight a 2018 MIT study which found that fake news spreads faster than real information.
Addressing her claim for 10 million euros from the soccer star, Hiba Abouk says
“It’s a macho and misogynistic world. When we started our relationship, he wasn’t making money, and I was more well-known than him. Imagine that.” She added, “I want to be discreet so this doesn’t affect our family in the future. I trust in justice and common sense, which are on my side.”
