Doja Cat once again stole the spotlight with her bold and daring attire at the 2024 Met Gala. Known for her fearless fashion sense, she graced the iconic event in what could arguably be her most audacious ensemble to date.
The talented rapper made her grand entrance at the prestigious Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City on Monday (May 6) clad in a Vetements ankle-length t-shirt cleverly crafted to mimic a wet appearance, leaving little to the imagination.
She affectionately dubbed the affair the “Wet Gala” in homage to her outfit, which was the brainchild of Vetements co-founder Guram Gvasalia, who also joined her at the glamorous soirée.
During an interview with Entertainment Tonight on the red carpet, the 28-year-old songstress elaborated on her choice of attire, expressing her desire to infuse her unique perspective into this year’s Met Gala theme, “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion.”
While many attendees opted for floral motifs, Doja chose to celebrate the simplicity and timelessness of a white cotton t-shirt, symbolizing her distinctive take on the theme.
“I knew it wasn’t going to blend in too much and I don’t really like to blend in,” she explained.
Doja also shared the unconventional secret behind her wet look: hair gel.
