The Drama Between These Stars Goes Way Back
Yes, the social media frenzy is real! R&b Megastar, Chris brown, is proving there is nothing “soft” about him and he is bringing all the smoke to Atlanta rapper, Quavo. The two have been trading spicy diss tracks and insults over the past three days and fans are choosing sides. As this feud plays out, it’s clear this is another episode in the ongoing drama within the rap world, leaving us all wondering: How did we end up here?

April 2017- Quavo Pops Out with Chris Brown’s ex
Before the rumors spread about Quavo dating Karrueche Tran, he and chris seemed to be friends, or at least cordial. Chris Brown was featured on Migos’ 2015 track “Just For Tonight,” and Quavo returned the favor on Chris’ track “Whippin’.” However, things took a turn in April 2017, when TMZ reported Quavo and Tran spending time together. although Karrueche Ended the relationship due to chris brown having a baby outside of their relationship, he seemed unable to let go, leading to her filing a restraining order against him with claims of harassment and abusive behavior.
june 2017- The two Gets in a heated altercation
Back in June of that year, Migos ran into Chris Brown at a BET Awards after party in LA. Things got heated when someone from Brown’s crew pushed Quavo, leading to a fight. Chris walked away and went to his car, but some of Migos’ friends surrounded him. However, Chris left without getting hurt, and the police showed up after everyone had already left.
June 2021- Chris Brown Challenges quavo to a basketball match
it seemed as tensions died down between the two until Chris Brown reignited with a basketball challenge. He took to his Instagram Story to call out Quavo and Jack Harlow for a 2-v-2 match after the duo won a competition during the NBA All-Star Weekend. Chris didn’t hold back on social media, stating:
“They knew who not to ask for that 2 on 2 basketball. I would’ve cooked Quavo and Jack! On my soul! Guess they wanted a smoke free zone.”
In response, Quavo accepted the challenge with a post of his own:
“Chris Brown AINT Cooking NAN Call Next Nga!!” Brown fired back without hesitation: “It ain’t no next. I’m on now. Set it up lil nga. U know dis work different. Me and @AustinMcBroom vs the Lil Boys.”
April 2024- Chris Brown sneak Disses quavo, quavo responds, and the beef begins
Things seemed to be too quiet for Chris. On April 11, Chris Brown Released the deluxe edition of his 2023 album 11:11, debuting “Freak,” where he brought up the 2017 fling, suggesting he’s still bitter (not a surprise).
“OK, now fckin’ my old btches ain’t gone make us equal / Sippin’ that 1942 ’cause I don’t do no Quavo”
Around a day later, Quavo hits back with “Tender,” a track responding to Brown’s sneak diss, with lines like,
“You did the btch wrong and now the btch gone, she posted with a thug / Call the b*tch phone, she won’t come home, don’t beat her up,”
Hmhh…. was Quavo speaking about Chris’ past abuse towards Rihanna or did Karrueche, possibly, reveal Chris brown’s abusive ways towards her?
April 2024- chris brown and quavo gets “creative” with their cover art for their diss tracks
Chris made a comeback with “Weakest Link” one week later, dropping it on April 20. the lyrics were spicy but the cover art of Quavo eating a “glizzy” sparked a lot of attention across social media. in the track, Not only does he address Quavo’s “Tender” jabs about Karrueche, but he also suggests he got “getback”, hinting that he hooked up with Quavo’s ex, Saweetie.

‘Cause I f*cked your ex when you were still with her b*tch, I’m up, lil’ n*gga “
Quavo’s clapback, “Over Hoes & B*tches,” dropped last night (April 22) and continues to dig into Brown’s abusive history, remaking the viral photo of chris brown choking an unnamed woman on a balcony.
Chris Brown says the diss isn’t worth a response but we can only wonder if he will spark the beef up again. however, Saweetie has responded to Quavo, exposing screenshots from January of this year.
All’s fair in love and music, but let’s hope this fizzles out without Harming any musicians involved.
