Petty is now permitted to accompany Nicki for “various reasons, including childcare.”
Earlier this week, news hit the headlines from Washington Post writer, Meghann Cuniff, that Kenneth Petty, Nicki Minaj’s husband, sought approval from a judge to accompany her on her ‘Pink Friday 2’ world tour.
Petty, who has a prior conviction as a sex offender, previously failed to register in Los Angeles after moving closer to Nicki. Consequently, his probation restricts his freedom to travel outside the U.S. without permission.
Petty has also been involved in other controversial conflicts. He violated his parole when he was caught making “threatening remarks toward a specific individual while in the company of someone with a criminal record,” The specific individual turned out to be rapper, Offset. As a consequence, Petty was sentenced to 120 days of house arrest.
Petty stated in his request that he would be joining Nicki on tour for “various reasons, including childcare.” Fortunately, things are taking a positive turn for him. Today, Judge Michael W. Fitzgerald granted approval for his request, allowing him to participate in all the excitement of ‘Pink Friday 2’ alongside the rest of his family.
In his submission, Petty stated that his probation officer “does not oppose” his travel plans with Nicki. Initially, he requested that the submission remain confidential, but that plea was denied.
While Petty’s travel request has been resolved for the celebrity couple, they are encountering other challenges.

Just last month, news surfaced that Nicki Minaj and Petty were ordered to pay $500K after failing to respond to lawsuit claims that Petty broke a security guard’s jaw. It doesn’t stop there….
petty is currently in legal battle with rape accuser, Jennifer Hough, who recently, accused him of harassing her in an attempt to retract rape allegation against him. Initially, Hough filed a lawsuit against Nicki Minaj, alleging that the rapper was involved in attempts to intimidate her. However, those charges against Minaj were eventually dropped. Kenneth petty is also seeking to remove his name from new York’s Sex offender Registry.
